Monster Trucks are the total opposite of modern-day EVs in terms of size, sound, and performance, yet Porsche assumed it would certainly be an excellent idea to incorporate them in an arena program. In that spirit, a Porsche Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo signed up with a Monster Jam Truck in its all-natural occupant at the NRG Stadium in Texas.
In a one-minute video clip montage published on YouTube by Porsche, we can see the two diametrically various cars doing donuts and power gliding on the dust track, prior to the beast vehicle jumps over the Taycan Cross Turismo for the final feat.

Linsey Read, that has been driving for the Monster Jam series for over a decade, sat behind the wheel of the bigfoot truck, making things less dangerous for the EV driver. Mentioning which, the Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo was driven by Leh Keen, that competes with Porsche at the United SportsCar Championship.
Read admitted that generally, she couldn’t see Keen’s Porsche from the high-mounted driving setting of the truck: “He needed to weave around me, so I needed to trust he was remaining faraway. But from the responses, I would certainly state he did surprisingly well to remain near to me”.
Eager explained his experience as racing versus a building, including: “The dimension of the Monster Jam vehicle is astonishing– it appears like it’s hardly attempting, yet I gazed down as well as we’re approaching three-figure speeds, inside an arena, on dust. It’s so active, provided its size, but for evident factors, I maintained well clear!”
As for the Cross Turismo, it is the jacked-up variation of the Taycan with plastic cladding all over the bodywork, 20-inch wheels, adjustable air suspension, and also dual electric motors which on the performance-focused Turbo S trim generate up to 750 hp (560 kW/ 761 PS) and also 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft).
